U9 Local League

There are no age eligibility requirements for grades 1, 2, or 3 (U9). You can play with your grade. This is because all Medfield programs at these ages are 'in house' or very local (grade 3 plays with Westwood).

The U9 teams are not entered in BAYS. The teams are organized so that they are all of roughly equal strength. They are 'balanced'. There are no tryouts. The U9 teams play in their own house league in the fall against other Medfield teams. In the spring, they play in a 'local' league with Westwood.

This program was started in 2003-2004 season. The format is the same as the older grades. The players wear the club uniform, have practices during the week, and play a 10 game season using the BAYS calendar as a general guide with a game on the weekend.

For Spring 2008, the games are Saturdays at Wheelock, girls play at 10:30am and boys play at 2:30pm.
